HHX.blue published the executive white paper “Onboard Carbon Capture Systems (OCCS) in Deep Sea Shipping”, addressing the regulatory, financial, and operational barriers affecting the deployment of OCCS technologies.

The paper analyses the interaction between EU climate regulation, IMO policy development, sustainable finance frameworks, and international CO2 transport requirements. It further examines how timing misalignment, legal uncertainty, accounting treatment, and financing constraints influence the bankability of OCCS projects.
