Dr. Monika Sobiesiak

Monika has been working as a geoscientist with specific expertise on seismology in many different fields from rapid response teamwork in earthquake disaster missions to investigating solutions for nuclear waste disposals. The guideline for her work has always been a multi-disciplinary approach to target the understanding of processes behind problem solving.

Participating in polar research and scientific ship expeditions, brought her to the marine environment and learning about what it takes to work at sea. Additionally, she worked some time for a container company in Bremerhaven where she could gain experience about international container shipping and related administrative and technical issues.
